Basin - Privacy Policy v2
Privacy policy, version 2
Effective date: October 28, 2026
Who collects information
Basin, [email protected].
What Basin collects
From homeowners who submit a request, Basin collects the information entered on the form: name, email address, mobile number, ZIP code, project type, timeline, budget range, and whether the person owns the home. Basin also records the consent timestamp, the consent text version, and the source of the submission.
From contractors, Basin collects the information submitted at signup, including business details and state license status checked against the state lookup and recorded. Basin also keeps purchase and credit records through its checkout system.
How Basin uses information
Basin uses homeowner information to match the request with remodeling contractors in the service area, to deliver the introduction, to send a confirmation that the request was received, and to keep a record of consent. Basin uses contractor information to operate accounts, credits, and lead delivery.
Sharing
Basin shares a homeowner's request with up to three matched remodeling contractors, for the purpose of providing quotes. Basin shares only the information needed for that introduction. Basin shares a homeowner's request only with matched contractors for quotes, as described in the consent text. Basin does not share homeowner information with data brokers or for unrelated advertising. Basin does not publish a homeowner's personal information in ads, public pages, or testimonials.
Service providers that process data on Basin's behalf, and what each receives:
Whop: checkout and payment processing, including data from the Whop Pixel. Receives contractor purchase details and payment confirmation. Basin does not receive or store card numbers.
Tally: form hosting. Receives homeowner request fields and contractor onboarding fields as submitted.
Zapier: automation. Receives form submissions to route them to Basin's records and delivery email.
Google Sheets and Drive: lead, contractor, credit, and routing records. Receives the fields above as stored rows.
Gmail: delivery and confirmation email. Receives lead details for delivery to the contractor's delivery email.
Meta: advertising measurement. Receives page visits and actions collected by the Meta advertising pixel.
Service areas
Launch service areas are Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Tampa. The ZIP lists are built: Phoenix 122 ZIPs, Dallas-Fort Worth 174 ZIPs, Tampa 108 ZIPs.
Retention
Basin keeps homeowner requests, lead records, and consent records for 24 months from submission, then deletes them from Basin's active records. Basin keeps contractor account and purchase records while the account is active and for 24 months after the last purchase, then deletes them from Basin's active records. Deletion means removal of the record from the Ledger and form records. A record under a legal hold or an open replacement dispute is kept until the dispute closes.
Opting out and deletion
A homeowner may opt out of further contact or request deletion of their information by emailing [email protected] with the phone number or email address used on the request. Basin confirms within 2 business days, stops sharing that request further within 2 business days, tells matched contractors to stop contacting the homeowner about that request, and deletes the record on request within 2 business days, subject to the legal-hold sentence in Retention above.
Tracking
Basin uses the Whop Pixel and the Meta advertising pixel on its pages. These pixels collect page visits and actions to measure advertising performance. Meta processes this data as a service provider on Basin's behalf, as listed in Sharing above. A visitor can decline non-essential cookies through their browser settings.
Security
Basin stores lead records in Google Sheets and Drive with access limited to Basin's business account ([email protected]) and the business owner. Transmission uses TLS. No security measure beyond this is claimed in this policy.
Children
Basin accepts requests only from adults aged 18 or older. If Basin learns a request came from someone under 18, Basin deletes that record on discovery and does not share it further.
Changes to this policy
Basin posts changes here with a new version and effective date. Material changes are communicated by email to contractors on file and noted on the homeowner form at least 7 days before they take effect. Non-material changes take effect on posting.
